Jetking Infotrain fiscal Q4 profit falls YOY

Jetking Infotrain Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 amounted to 50 Indian paise per share, a decrease of 65.0% from 1.42 rupees per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 2.9 million rupees, a decline of 64.9% from 8.4 million rupees in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 4.6% from 12.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 7.3% year over year to 64.2 million rupees from 69.2 million rupees, and total operating expenses increased 7.2% from the prior-year period to 61.3 million rupees from 57.1 million rupees.

Reported net income fell 89.3% from the prior-year period to 990,900 rupees, or 17 paise per share, from 9.3 million rupees, or 1.58 rupees per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 3.40 rupees per share, a decrease of 14.2% from 3.96 rupees per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 20.0 million rupees, a decline of 14.2% from 23.3 million rupees in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue fell 10.9% on an annual basis to 257.1 million rupees from 288.5 million rupees, and total operating expenses decreased on an annual basis to 262.3 million rupees from 275.9 million rupees.

The company said reported net income fell 11.4% year over year to 23.1 million rupees, or 3.93 rupees per share, in the full year, from 26.1 million rupees, or 4.43 rupees per share.

As of July 3, US$1 was equivalent to 63.43 Indian rupees.
