The JBG Cos. appointed two finance executives to its forthcoming REIT, JBG SMITH Properties, which will be the product of a merger with Vornado Realty Trust's spinoff of its Washington, D.C., business.

Angela Valdes was appointed chief accounting officer and Jaime Marcus was named vice president of investor relations.

Valdes previously served as vice president and chief accounting officer at Equity One Inc. Marcus previously served as director, investor relations at First Potomac Realty Trust.
