Duke EnergyCorp. has completed its $6.7 billion acquisition of Piedmont Natural Gas Co. Inc.

The Oct. 3 announcement comes days after the North CarolinaUtilities Commission issued an order Sept. 29 approving the merger. (DocketNos. E-2, SUB 1095; E-7, SUB 1000; G-9 SUB 682)
