Security National Financial Corp. notified the Securities and Exchange Commission that it would delay its Form 10-Q filing for the second quarter after errors were found in its accounting procedures.
The company found three years of financial statements to be unreliable after a review of its internal accounting practices. Its audit committee approved management's recommendation that the company should provide a comprehensive restatement for all restated periods by filing an amended Form 10-K filing for the fiscal years 2016 and 2015 and amended Form 10-Q filing for the quarterly period ended March 31.
The company said it needed additional time to complete and file the Form 10-Q filing for the second quarter because it is in the process of preparing the comprehensive restatement.
