India's Godrej sells diaper brand Snuggy to Nobel Hygiene

Indian consumer goods company Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. has sold its diaper brand Snuggy to Nobel Hygiene Pvt. Ltd. for an undisclosed amount, the local diaper manufacturer confirmed in an emailed news release dated July 5.

Godrej acquired the brand from its founder Shogun Diapers Ltd. in 2003.

"We had our eye on this brand for a few years," Kamal Johari, Nobel Hygiene's founder and managing director, said in a statement.

Nobel Hygiene added that it plans to leverage its manufacturing expertise through the acquisition of Snuggy.
