Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV said May 21 that it repurchased 1,018,077 of its common shares between May 13 and May 17 at an average price of €20.57 per share for a total consideration of €20.9 million.
The transaction was part of the Dutch grocery retailer's €1 billion share repurchase program that it announced in November 2018.
The company previously bought back 1,678,018 shares worth €35.1 million from May 6 to May 10.
Under the buyback program, Ahold Delhaize has repurchased a total of 22,301,477 shares to date, for a total consideration of about €495.6 million.
