AetnaInc. said April 1 that Thomas Sabatino Jr. was named executive vicepresident and general counsel, effective April 25.

Sabatino will join Aetna from Hertz Global Holdings Inc.,where he most recently served as senior executive vice president, chiefadministrative officer and general counsel. He willjoin Aetna's executive committee.

Sabatino succeeds William Casazza, who will continue toserve as a strategic adviser to Aetna in connection with the company'spendingacquisition of HumanaInc. Casazza will retire upon the close of the transaction.
