Imperial Oil CEO to step down; successor named

Canada's Imperial Oil Ltd. on Sept. 17 said its chairman and CEO Rich Kruger plans to retire by the end of December.

The Exxon Mobil Corp. subsidiary appointed Brad Corson president effective Sept. 17. Corson will also assume the role of chairman, president and CEO of Imperial on Jan. 1, 2020.

Prior to the appointment, Corson was named president of ExxonMobil Upstream Ventures and vice president of Exxon Mobil Corp. in 2015.
