Mizuho BankAmericas named Andrew Dewing a managing executive officer and its head of NorthAmerican banking. According to a March 31 press release, he was previously headof U.S. corporate finance.
The promotionis in line with a push to increase headcount in the region by 10%, BloombergNews adds.
Mizuhodisclosed other appointments. Michael Keating and Donald Sutton are now bothmanaging directors and co-heads of banking coverage. Keating's focus is onenergy, power and utilities, technology media and telecommunications, globalsubsidiaries coverage, and Canada. Sutton is responsible for industrials anddiversified, basic industries, financial institutions, consumer health care,real estate, and public finance.
Lastly,John Humphreys was named managing director and head of advisory and solutions.He is also in charge of expanding Mizuho's investment banking capabilities,particularly with regard to global M&A, equity and strategic capitalraising.
