Delta LloydNV said March 31 that it signed a letter of intent with serviceprovider Voogd & Voogd to boost their cooperation in the field ofintermediary-distributed personal general insurance.
Under the agreement, Voogd & Voogd will establish a newcompany that would take care of the underwriting, administrative changes andclaims handling of personal general insurance products for Delta Lloyd.
The new entity, which is expected to launch Jan. 1, 2017,will be active under the Delta Lloyd label and will operate independently fromVoogd & Voogd's other activities. Some permanent Delta Lloyd staff willalso be transferred to the new entity, which is still subject to regulatoryapprovals.
Delta Lloyd expects the initiative to have a positive impacton the combined ratio of its personal general business.
