CBS Corp. is taking its digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service global.
CBS All Access will initially launch in Canada in the first half of 2018, with other markets to follow. The subscription costs $5.99 a month in the U.S., with a commercial-free tier available for $9.99 a month. CBS will announce prices for non-U.S. markets in the future.
Along with its original programming, CBS All Access has a library of more than 9,000 episodes on-demand, including current shows and past seasons of certain series and TV hits. Users can also access CBS News Inc.'s 24/7 streaming news service CBSN.
The company expects to exceed more than four million subscribers for both CBS All Access and Showtime (US)'s direct-to-consumer products by year-end.
