AOKI Holdings Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 amounted to ¥66.05 per share, a decline of 7.3% from ¥71.25 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥5.94 billion, a decline of 8.6% from ¥6.50 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 10.3% from 11.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased year over year to ¥57.56 billion from ¥56.40 billion, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to ¥48.09 billion from ¥45.96 billion.
Reported net income declined year over year to ¥4.99 billion, or ¥55.54 per share, from ¥5.18 billion, or ¥56.80 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥123.77 per share, a decline from ¥129.64 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥11.18 billion, a fall of 5.5% from ¥11.82 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue grew year over year to ¥188.59 billion from ¥183.81 billion, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to ¥170.80 billion from ¥164.78 billion.
The company said reported net income declined on an annual basis to ¥9.71 billion, or ¥107.55 per share, in the full year, from ¥10.19 billion, or ¥111.70 per share.
