Serbian regulator approves takeover of Piraeus Bank's ops by Direktna Banka

Serbia's Commission for Protection of Competition authorized Direktna Banka a.d. Kragujevac to acquire 100% of Piraeus Banka a.d. Beograd and take indirect control of Piraeus Leasing d.o.o. Beograd, the regulator said Nov. 13.

Piraeus Bank SA agreed to sell its Serbian banking and leasing operations to Direktna in October for a total consideration of between €58 million and €61 million.
