Chieftain fails to pay C$4.0M due to West Face Capital

Chieftain MetalsCorp. said April 6 that it was unable to pay over C$4.0 million dueMarch 31 to West Face Capital Inc., to which it owes nearly C$24.8 million in outstandingdebt.

The company said it is in talks with West Face to resolve thismatter.

In addition, Chieftain is looking to arrange financing for theconstruction of the TulsequahChief zinc-copper-gold-silver-lead mine in northwestern British Columbia.
