Pearhead recalls baby bath toys sold at Nordstrom, Amazon

Toy and baby products maker Pearhead Inc. is recalling about 6,000 units of its Ubbi connecting bath toys over a potential safety issue in case of breakage.

The items are plastic with a big circle in the middle that has an engraved smiley face attached to six smaller circles. Pearson said the toys can break and create a sharp point that can pose laceration and choking hazards to children.

The products were sold from January to August at Nordstrom Inc., Buy Buy Baby Inc., Bump Box and other specialty stores across the country, as well as online on Amazon.com Inc. and ubbiworld.com.

The company said it is not aware of any injuries related to the items being recalled but noted that it has received two reports of broken bath toys.
