Kanmonkai Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was a loss of ¥14.70 per share, compared with a loss of ¥13.97 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥136.9 million, compared with a loss of ¥130.0 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to negative 15.0% from negative 14.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed year over year to ¥914.0 million from ¥889.0 million, and total operating expenses rose year over year to ¥1.11 billion from ¥1.08 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥152.0 million, or a loss of ¥16.32 per share, compared to a loss of ¥206.0 million, or a loss of ¥22.13 per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
