Brazil sees more than 116,000 job layoffs in November

Brazilian employees saw 116,747 formal job layoffs in November, Reuters reported, citing data from the country's Ministry of Labor.

The number represents almost double of that expected according to research conducted by the newswire, which had estimated 62,000 layoffs in the month.

In the aggregate period through November, 858,333 jobs were lost compared to 945,000 in the same period of 2015.
