Fitch Ratings on April 1 affirmed and withdrew its national ratingson Banco Itaú Chile, citingthe bank's mergerwith CorpBanca.
The rating agency said that because of the merger, which wasset to close April 1,it will no longer cover Itaú Chile; Fitch added that it will not cover the mergedentity resulting from the deal.
The ratings withdrawn include a long-term deposit rating of AA-(cl),with a negative outlook, and a short-term deposit rating of N1+(cl).
