President Chain Store Q4 profit climbs YOY

4546201 said its fourth-quarter normalized net income amounted to NT$1.41 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of NT$1.66 per share.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$1.48 billion, a gain from NT$1.44 billion in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 2.8% from 2.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased year over year to NT$53.90 billion from NT$52.42 billion, and total operating expenses grew from the prior-year period to NT$51.54 billion from NT$50.11 billion.

Reported net income rose 31.3% from the prior-year period to NT$1.97 billion, or NT$1.89 per share, from NT$1.50 billion, or NT$1.44 per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled NT$6.75 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of NT$9.25.

EPS rose 9.8% from NT$6.15 in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue rose from the prior-year period to NT$215.36 billion from NT$205.48 billion, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to NT$204.95 billion from NT$195.87 billion.
