JPMorgan hires Barclays exec to head Sapphire card suite

JPMorgan Chase & Co. appointed Matthew Massaua to lead its Sapphire Reserve credit card business, effective Jan. 1, 2018, The Wall Street Journal reported Dec. 10.

He will replace Lisa Walker, who will take on a new role within JPMorgan's card division, according to a company memo reviewed by the publication. Massaua most recently served as a card executive at Barclays Plc.

The company had also promoted Pamela Codispoti, the head of Chase branded cards, to lead its branch network, the WSJ added.
