APS ready to meet summer energy demand

Arizona PublicService Co. said April 28 that it is prepared to meet customer demandthis summer with nearly 8,500 MW of available power.

The Pinnacle WestCapital Corp. subsidiary forecasts a summer peak of 6,986 MW, accordingto a news release.

Last summer, APS customers experienced the highest wind-, rain-and lightning-related outages in five years.
