Athabasca Minerals suspends Susan Lake operations due to Alberta wildfire

AthabascaMinerals Inc. said May 10 that it temporarily suspended operationsat the Susan Lake public pit and the corporate pits located within the WoodBuffalo region in Alberta due to the ongoing wildfires in Canada.

The management will review the restart of operations oncethe risk of additional wildfires has subsided.

Currently, there is no time frame for the return ofemployees to operations, the company said.

Athabasca Minerals posted a net loss of C$634,150 for thefirst quarter of the year, compared to a net loss of C$1.4 million a year ago.
