Asian Hotels & Properties fiscal Q2 profit falls YOY

4981215 said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was 61 Sri Lankan cents per share, a decline from 64 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 272.3 million rupees, a decrease from 281.9 million rupees in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 14.4% from 13.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 7.9% on an annual basis to 1.89 billion rupees from 2.05 billion rupees, and total operating expenses totaled 1.52 billion rupees, compared with 1.52 billion rupees in the year-earlier period.
