Southwest Gas Q2 earnings beat expectations

Southwest Gas Holdings Inc. on Aug. 7 reported consolidated net income of $17.9 million, or 37 cents per share, in the second quarter, up from $8.9 million, or 19 cents per share, in the prior-year period.

The S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate for the second quarter was 27 cents.

Operating revenue was $560.5 million, up from $547.7 million in the same quarter a year ago.
