Cocolonet Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 amounted to ¥40.98 per share, a decrease of 14.6% from ¥47.98 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥157.5 million, a decrease of 14.6% from ¥184.4 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 5.1% from 5.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased year over year to ¥3.07 billion from ¥3.17 billion, and total operating expenses totaled ¥2.87 billion, compared with ¥2.89 billion in the year-earlier period.
Reported net income declined 46.0% on an annual basis to ¥249.0 million, or ¥64.79 per share, from ¥461.0 million, or ¥119.96 per share.
As of Aug. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥102.19.
