DeutscheTelekom AG subsidiary Telekom Deutschland GmbH appointed two newexecutives under plans to combine its different departments into a singleservice unit, according to a Sept. 22 news release.
Ferri Abolhassan, currently director of the informationtechnology division and in charge of Telekom Security at Deutsche Telekom'sbusiness unit T-Systems, will join Telekom Deutschland as director of servicetransformation from Oct. 1.
Meanwhile, Telekom Deutschland's Director of TechnologyBruno Jacobfeuerborn will become managing director at Deutsche Funkturm GmbHand chief technology officer at Deutsche Telekom, beginning Jan. 1, 2017.Jacobfeuerborn's successor has yet to be named.
The operational restructure is part of Telekom Deutschland'sdeal with its employee representatives, which also includes flexible workinghours in the service and technology divisions due to variations in the telco'snetwork buildout across its German footprint.
Under the agreement, weekly working hours can be increasedby up to four hours as needed, or can also be reduced beginning in 2019,according to the release.
The changes will not include job cuts and are expected toaffect up to 15,000 workers, Reuters reported Sept. 22.
