Emera announces new leadership at TECO

Emera Inc.announced the appointment of several senior executives at TECO Energy Inc.

The company named Rob Bennett as COO of TECO Energy in connectionwith Emera's $6.5 billionacquisition of TECO Energy,according to a Form 8-K filed July 13. Bennett is the president and CEO of EmeraU.S. Holdings Inc. He also serves as chairman of TECO Energy and a director of itsTampa Electric Co. subsidiary.

Sarah MacDonald was appointed president of TECO Services Inc.,effective Sept. 1. She will oversee the services such as information technology,legal and human resources. Presently, she is president of Emera(Caribbean) Inc., and president and CEO of ICD Utilities Ltd. and Grand Bahama Power Co. Ltd.

Gordon Gillette will continue to serve as of Tampa Electric and d/b/a TECO PeoplesGas. Previously, he was executive vice president and CFO for TECO Energy.

In addition, Senior Vice President - General Counsel, Chief LegalOfficer and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer Charles Attal III; Senior Vice Presidentof Corporate Services and Chief Human Resources Officer Phil Barringer; and SeniorVice President of Finance and Accounting and CFO Sandra Callahan will retire fromTECO Energy, effective Aug. 31.
