Merrill, Wis.-based Church Mutual Insurance Co. and Newport Beach, Calif.-based Church & Casualty Insurance Agency Inc partnered to establish CM Wildfire Solutions, a policy that will help protect policyholders and their properties against damage from wildfires.

The policy will first be launched in California to certain policyholders, and is expected to expand to additional markets in 2019.

Those enrolled in the policy will have access to wildfire monitoring services through RedZone, which provides intelligence and analysis about disaster events in the U.S. The policyholders will receive email and text message alerts.

Under the program, Church Mutual can also send its risk control team to inspect areas and offer prevention recommendations, as well as deploy a fire mitigation service to help protect property amid an imminent wildfire.
