Industrial Property Trust Inc. is weighing strategic options, including a possible sale or equity recapitalization, Reuters reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
The industrial real estate investment trust, formed by real estate investment firm Black Creek Group in 2012, reportedly tapped an investment bank to gauge potential buyer interest. Private equity firms, public pension plans and other large real estate investors could be among the potential acquirers, the sources told the news outlet.
Industrial Property Trust's roughly $3.3 billion U.S. industrial portfolio will continue to be managed by Black Creek if the company chooses recapitalization instead of a sale, Reuters noted.
Neither Black Creek Group nor Industrial Property Trust immediately responded to comment requests, according to the report.
