Niraku GC fiscal H1 profit falls YOY

Niraku GC Holdings Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Sept. 30 was ¥1.32 per share, a decline of 31.3% from ¥1.92 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.18 billion, a decrease of 31.3% from ¥1.72 billion in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 5.1% year over year to ¥15.65 billion from ¥16.50 billion, and total operating expenses came to ¥13.54 billion, compared with ¥13.45 billion in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income declined 42.3% year over year to ¥937.0 million, or ¥1.05 per share, from ¥1.62 billion, or ¥1.81 per share.

As of Dec. 29, US$1 was equivalent to ¥120.58.
