Ex-Irish central bank exec to join Standard Life

Outgoing Irish central bank director of markets supervisionGareth Murphy will join StandardLife Plc as chief risk officer of its asset management arm anddeputy group chief risk officer in January 2017, The Irish Times reported.

Murphy will replace William Littleboy, who presently holdsboth titles and will return to a new role with the company after an extendedleave, according to the Oct. 5 report.

Murphy resigned from the Irish central bank in August, wherehe handled Ireland's funds industry and securities firms for the past six years.
