Enterprise drone services company raises $5M in funding

San Francisco-based enterprise drone services company Kittyhawk.io Inc. raised $5 million in a funding round led by Jim Andelman of seed-stage venture capital firm Bonfire Ventures.

Boeing HorizonX Ventures and Freestyle Capital also participated in the funding round, as well as Kluz Ventures' The Flying Object, a returning investor. Kittyhawk has raised a total of $6.5 million to date, the company said June 6.

Founded in 2015, Kittyhawk provides drone services for professional and fleet managers across a variety of sectors, including media, insurance, energy, rail transportation, law enforcement, and emergency management agencies.
