Mick Sweeney, a longtime Bank of Ireland executive, will leave the lender later in the year and is said to be seeking a new financial sector role related to Brexit, The Irish Times reported Aug. 7.
Sweeney was most recently interim managing director of unit New Ireland Assurance Co. Plc, a role given to Michael Murphy on a permanent basis in April, the report noted. Sweeney has also served as head of wealth management, global asset management and Bank of Ireland Global Markets.
