Entergy Mississippi closes purchase of 115-kV lines from Miss. co-op

Entergy Mississippi Inc., through its Entergy Services Inc. subsidiary, has completed the acquisition of two 115-kV transmission lines and related property from South Mississippi Electric Power Association.

The deal, valued at $119,000, involved the Centreville-Woodville line in Wilkinson County, Miss., approximately 12.56 miles, and the Franklin-Smithdale line in Franklin County, Miss., approximately 11.94 miles. Entergy Mississippi currently leases these lines from SMEPA.

FERC gave its approval for the deal Nov. 22 and the deal was closed Dec. 15.

Entergy Mississippi is a subsidiary of Entergy Corp. (FERC Docket No. EC17-1)
