Report: Banco do Brasil hires banks for possible bond issuance

Banco do Brasil SA has hired several banks as it prepares for a possible U.S. dollar-denominated bond issuance, Valor Econômico reported.

The banks include BofA Merrill Lynch, BTG Pactual, Itaú BBA, Santander, Wells Fargo and BB Securities, the publication said.

Banco do Brasil will hold a roadshow on Oct. 16 and 17 in London, Los Angeles, New York and Boston.

While details on terms and value were not specified, the issue will be at benchmark, which usually means it's valued for at least $500 million, the report said.
