Oct. 4

Former Morgan Stanley managing director Michel Antakly joined PJT Partners Inc. in London, Reuters reported.

Former Houlihan Lokey Inc. and Milestone Advisors LLC investment bankers Tim Stute and T.J. Humes joined Hovde Group LLC and will help launch a specialty finance practice at the company. Stute is taking the role of managing director and head of specialty finance, while Humes is a director.

Oct. 3

Daniel Courtney joined Advisors Asset Management Inc.'s capital markets group as managing director and national account management head. Courtney earlier worked with Genworth Financial Asset Management.

Charlotte, N.C.-based The Interstate Group joined Hilltop Securities Inc. Consequently, its sales, trading, operations and administrative personnel have joined Hilltop, along with President Grady Thomas Jr. and COO Jay Thomas, who joined as managing directors.

Stifel Financial Corp. unit Stifel Nicolaus & Co. Inc. named David Safarian senior vice president of investments, Reuters reported. Safarian most recently worked at Wells Fargo Advisors.

Oct. 2

Raymond James Financial Inc. expanded its global technology and service investment banking practice by opening a new London office. The company hired Joel Greenwood, Stuart Sparkes and Dominic Emery as managing directors to lead the new office. Greenwood and Sparkes joined from Deloitte and Emery from Investec. Raymond James also hired Laura Maddison as a senior vice president from Deloitte.

Wells Fargo Securities LLC named Scott Warrender head of the energy and power investment banking group. Warrender, who replaced James Kipp, joined Wells Fargo in 2012.

FBR Capital Markets & Co. hired three senior research analysts for its healthcare team. The new joinees are Senior Vice President David Buck, Senior Vice President George Zavoico and Senior Vice President Madhu Kumar. FBR also hired Derrick Li, a co-founder of boutique advisory firm TPP Healthcare. Senior Analyst Andy D'Silva joined from FBR's parent company, B. Riley Financial Inc. to focus on medical technology.

David Trone, a former sell-side analyst who covered investment banks, is departing Greenhill & Co. Inc. where he was director of investor relations, a media contact for the company confirmed. Patrick Suehnholz, who joined Greenhill's corporate advisory team in 2010, will serve as director of investor relations and COO of investment banking.

Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. appointed Jon Yalmokas global head of prime brokerage. Yalmokas previously worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Piper Jaffray Cos. hired Bruce Urbanek as a managing director in its financial institutions investment banking group focused on financial technology coverage. Urbanek previously worked with Houlihan Lokey.

BTIG LLC hired Christopher Rollins as managing director and head of U.S. execution services. Rollins joined from Goldman Sachs Group Inc.

Sept. 28

Raymond James Financial added Geoffrey Richards as a managing director in its investment banking division. Richards most recently worked with Canaccord Genuity Inc.

Key Group Management, a New Jersey-based wealth management company with more than $350 million in total client assets, selected Royal Alliance Associates Inc. as its broker/dealer. With the latest addition, 83 registered representatives have joined Royal Alliance's network so far in 2017.
