Report: Filing for Blackstone's Indian REIT IPO delayed

Blackstone Group LP and Embassy Group are planning to file the draft prospectus for the IPO of their Indian real estate investment trust in July, a month later than planned, the Press Trust of India reported June 10, citing unnamed sources.

The papers for Embassy Office Parks' US$1 billion IPO has long experienced delays and was most recently reported to be filed late June. If the filing is successful with the Securities and Exchange Board of India, the office property-focused company will be the country's first listed REIT.

The initial portfolio of the REIT, which plans to use IPO proceeds to repay its debt, is also being finalized, the Press Trust of India reported.
