Telephone and Data Systems Inc.-owned TDS Broadband Service LLC is acquiring Central Oregon-based service Crestview Cable Communications
Upon the closing of the acquisition, TDS will add more than 21,000 service addresses to the BendBroadband system that TDS acquired in 2014. Crestview Cable provides high-speed data, digital video and voice services in Madras, Prineville, La Pine, Metolius, Crooked River Ranch and Culver, Ore.
TDS plans to invest in and further expand its fiber-to-the-home footprint in key communities, along with improving and upgrading its services across the larger Crestview footprint, according to TDS Telecom's COO Jim Butman.
The deal is subject to local and federal regulatory approvals. Pat Thompson Co. assisted Crestview Cable on the deal, financial details of which were not disclosed.
