Constellation NewEnergy Inc. expanded its retail solar business with the acquisition of PFMG Solar LLC for undisclosed terms.
"It enables us to grow our solar footprint in California, the most active U.S. solar market, and extend our Constellation Offsite Renewables (CORe), energy efficiency and other retail energy offerings to new markets," Constellation CEO Jim McHugh said in an Oct. 10 statement.
PFMG Solar, a subsidiary of Spear Point Energy, develops solar power systems for school districts, government agencies and other public sector customers. Constellation has worked with PFMG Solar to develop more than 100 MW of solar generation, according to the release.
Constellation is a subsidiary of Exelon Corp.
