Klondex defines initial open pit resource at Fire Creek gold-silver mine

Klondex Mines Ltd. estimated an initial open pit mineral resource estimate at its Fire Creek gold-silver mine in northern Nevada.

The deposit hosts indicated resources of 42.9 million tons at 0.88 g/t of gold equivalent for 1.1 million gold equivalent ounces.

The inferred resource stands at 31.7 million tons at 1.19 g/t of gold equivalent for 1.1 million gold equivalent ounces.

The initial estimate excludes all underground mineral resources at the Fire Creek mine, the company said Dec. 21. The open-pit mineralization is open to the north, south and west.

Klondex plans to update the reserves and resources for all its sites during the first quarter of 2018.
