Magistrate sides with Discovery in '7 Little Johnstons' footage dispute

A federal judge has made recommendations in favor of Discovery Communications Inc. in its dispute with LMNO Cable over footage of a TV special revolving around the family on TLC's "7 Little Johnstons."

Magistrate Judge Steve Kim recommended that the judge overseeing the Discovery-LMNO case, U.S. District Judge John Kronstadt, order LMNO to hand over the footage or be held in contempt of court. Kim had earlier turned down Discovery's request for possession of the second season of the "7 Little Johnstons" show.

Discovery has accused LMNO of hiding deceptive business practices, while LMNO has claimed that it was a victim of an "embezzling and vindictive" accountant who fabricated the financial records and disclosed them to Discovery to destroy LMNO's business.
