Tidewater Midstream gets regulatory OK to build Montney gas processing plant

The Alberta Energy Regulator allowed Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure Ltd. to build and operate its planned Pipestone Montney sour deep-cut gas processing complex in Alberta.

The Pipestone plant, near Grande Prairie, would be capable of processing about 100 MMcf/d of natural gas. The project's capacity is 80% contracted as of Oct. 1. It is expected to begin service in mid-2019, according to an Oct. 18 news release.

Tidewater Midstream is a Calgary, Alberta-based company focused in natural gas and NGL gathering, processing and transportation.
