CWA members fail to ratify AT&T Mobility benefits contract

Communications Workers of America leaders notifiedAT&T Inc. thatMobility employees failed to ratify a four-year .

The proposed contract, which focused on benefits, includinghealth care, would have covered more than 40,000 CWA-represented Mobilityemployees across the U.S.

The parties agreed to meet in an effort to reach anagreement, AT&T said July 13.

The contract does not cover wages, pension, and work rules,which are negotiated under separate contracts.
