FERC on Sept. 28 clearedNRG Renew LLC'sproposed acquisition of interests in certain SunEdison Inc. assets under development in Utah.

The facilities in the transaction are the 80-MW ; the 80-MWEscalante Solar I;the 80-MW Escalante Solar II;the 80-MW Escalante SolarIII; the 80-MW GraniteMountain Solar East; 50-MW Granite Mountain Solar West; and the 80-MW .(EC16-168)

NRG EnergyInc. previously initiated a $144 million stalking-horse for bankrupt SunEdison'swind and solar holdings. A federal judge has approved bidding procedures allowing NRG and to pursuetheir plans to acquire the renewable assets.
