Indosat to sell 3,100 towers for 6.4 trillion rupiah

PT Indosat Tbk agreed to sell about 3,100 telecommunications towers for 6.4 trillion Indonesian rupiah, Reuters reported, citing a company statement.

The Indonesian operator, doing business as Indosat Ooredoo, will be selling about 2,100 units of towers to PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi, or Mitratel. Meanwhile, about 1,000 units will be sold to PT Profesional Telekomunikasi Indonesia, or Protelindo.

Ooredoo-owned Indosat targets to close the sale before the end of the year.

As of Oct. 14, US$1 was equivalent to 14,133 Indonesian rupiah.
