Coffee Concepts to open 1st Starbucks store in Myanmar

Coffee Concepts is opening the first Starbucks Corp. store in Myanmar, Inside Retail Hong Kong reported May 18.

The Hong Kong-based coffee chain operator has won the rights to operate Starbucks stores in the country, the report said. The first location will reportedly open in Yangon, the largest city in Myanmar.

Coffee Concepts runs Starbucks stores in Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia and Hong Kong, according to the report. The company is a unit of Maxim's Caterers Ltd., which in turn is partly owned by Dairy Farm International Holdings Ltd.
