Patent holding company Voip-Pal.com Inc. on May 9 serveddefendants, including AppleInc., VerizonCommunications Inc. and AT&T Inc. in its combined $7 billionpatent-infringement lawsuits against the companies.

Voip-Pal said May 10 that talks between the defendants andVoip-Pal's adviser and mediator, Ray Leon, have been taking place over the pastseveral weeks. Voip-Pal had delayed completing the legal service due to talkswith the defendants.

The suits, seeking more than $7 billion in damages, werefiled in February in the U.S. District Court, District of Nevada.
