CEC International fiscal H1 profit climbs 25.5% YOY

CEC International Holdings Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Oct. 31, 2014, was 2 Hong Kong cents per share, a gain of 25.5% from 2 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was HK$14.0 million, an increase of 25.5% from HK$11.1 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 32.7% on an annual basis to HK$1.14 billion from HK$857.8 million, and total operating expenses rose 32.9% year over year to HK$1.11 billion from HK$832.4 million.

Reported net income increased 32.4% from the prior-year period to HK$17.3 million, or 3 cents per share, from HK$13.0 million, or 2 cents per share.
