Sheffield signs further off-take deals for Thunderbird project's output

Sheffield Resources Ltd. signed binding off-take agreements for the future sale of premium zircon and concentrate from its Thunderbird mineral sands project in Western Australia, according to a Dec. 22 release.

Nanjing Rzisources International Trading Co. Ltd. agreed to purchase a minimum annual supply of 15,000 tonnes of premium zircon and 23,000 tonnes of concentrate for an initial five-year period, with annual contract extensions thereafter.

The conditions precedent include a positive final investment decision with regard to the Thunderbird project.

"We now have 100% of our zircon concentrate for Stage 1 of Thunderbird and approximately 75% of our Stage 1 premium zircon product under binding agreements with respected and well-established groups across the mineral sands industry," Sheffield Managing Director Bruce McFadzean said.
