Compromise needed for Eldorado to proceed on gold project, Greece says

Greek Environment and Energy Minister Panos Skourletis saida compromise between EldoradoGold Corp., local communities and the government is necessary forthe miner to proceed with its gold project in the country, Reuters reportedMarch 31.

All parties should "water down their demands," theminister added.

The Greek government stopped operations at Eldorado's mines in August 2015, adecision that was overturned in November 2015 by the country's top court.

In late March, the environment ministry the TSX- and NYSE-listed companya permit to proceed with the development of the Olympias gold mine, after Eldorado in January that it willsuspend construction and development activities at and Olympias due topermitting delays.
